Functional medicine is an individualized, patient-centered, and science-based approach to medical care.
Integrative Health Matters offers functional medicine consultations for men and women. The team focuses on identifying all of the factors influencing your health, so they can uncover the root cause of your symptoms or disease.
By addressing the root cause of your condition instead of just the symptoms, you can address chronic disease more effectively. The team may find that one condition has many different causes.
As part of your treatment plan, the medical team targets each of the underlying causes of disease to relieve your symptoms and optimize your overall health.
The functional medicine services available at Integrative Health Matters empower you to address the underlying causes of disease.
They also help you understand how your lifestyle, genetics, and biochemical makeup influence your long-term health, so you can make changes now that benefit your health later.
Working closely with the Integrative Health Matters medical team, you may find long-term relief from your symptoms.
During your consultation, you can expect to spend a lot of quality time with the doctor reviewing your health history and your medical concerns. Appointments typically last between 45-90 minutes depending on your needs.
The providers encourage you to do a lot of talking, so they can better understand the details of your personal and family history, the circumstances around your first symptoms, and your past experiences with other health care providers.
The medical team has extensive training to uncover the underlying causes of your health issues through open conversation, a physical exam, and laboratory testing.
We work for who pays us. We choose to work for our patients so we do not take insurance. However, you are welcome to pay with your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) funds. Oui can generate a superbill, a detailed receipt, that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
